Alif Clubhouse is finally here! At the request of many community members over the years, we’re excited to announce the launch of Alif Clubhouse, a Sunday School program designed by Alif Schoolhouse. This summer will mark the relaunch of our program after last year's pilot. We’re beyond excited to welcome your child and family to the Alif Schoolhouse community!
About Alif Clubhouse

Utilizing a child-centered holistic approach to learning, Alif Clubhouse will provide a unique opportunity for children ages 3 - 11 to build community, learn about Islam, and have fun! Lessons will be taught incorporating art, movement, and play. Topics include: Quran, 99 Names of Allah, Seerah, and developing a connection with Allah through dua. The program is located in Chicago’s Hyde Park neighborhood.

Program Dates

Programming for the fall semester will begin on Sunday, September 21st 2025 and run through Sunday, December 14th on the following schedule:
- Sundays 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
(Session offerings contingent upon meeting minimum enrollment requirements.)

Payment and Sliding Scale Info:

In alignment with our cooperative model, Alif Schoolhouse utilizes a sliding scale system to support varying levels of intended school participation, as well as the unique financial means of each family. The sliding-scale system is aimed at allowing us to do our best at accommodating all families and continuing transparency around pricing. This is a self-selecting sliding scale. For certain tiers, you may be asked to present proof of income eligibility. We ask that you review the 4 tiers and select the options that best align with your family’s budget and ability to contribute. We value all of the time, aid, and dedication that each of you is willing to devote to our program! Upon enrollment, you will have the option to pay in full or to have payments split into pre-selected installments.

Tier 1 "Foundational Families"

$350/semester

We recommend this option if your family meets one of the following criteria:
- Has extremely limited expendable income and they’d otherwise not be able to afford the program for their child(ren). (Please Note: You may be asked to submit proof of income for eligibility).
- Is willing to be strong on-the-ground supporters of school-related needs to balance tuition costs. This includes an estimated 4-6 hours of monthly schoolhouse engagement.
Tier 2 "Pioneers of Stability"

$425/semester

We recommend this option if your family meets one of the following criteria:
- Has extremely limited expendable income. (Please Note: You may be asked to submit proof of income for eligibility).
- Is willing to be strong on-the-ground supporters of school-related needs to balance tuition costs. This includes an estimated 2-4 hours of monthly schoolhouse engagement.
Tier 3 "Community Leaders"

$525/semester

We recommend this option if your family meets one of the following criteria:
- Needs a little extra assistance but can basically cover tuition costs.
- Is willing to generally help with minor school needs as a way to balance tuition and uphold the school. This includes an estimated 1 - 2 hours of monthly schoolhouse engagement, possibly done remotely.
Tier 4 "Pillars of Support"

This tier is priced at the current market rate for our program:

$600/semester

We recommend this level for families who meet one of the following criteria:
- Can comfortably cover the full cost of tuition.
- Has little to no capacity for engaging with the schoolhouse regularly beyond basic parental involvement.
Tuition Adjustment Candidates

We recognize that, despite the flexibility of our sliding scale tier system, some families may need additional options to meet their family’s needs. This may be due to broader financial limitations and/or logistical challenges. For these circumstances, tuition assistance support may be available.

Enrollment will be confirmed by September 1, 2025. If you require earlier confirmation, please reach out and let us know. Program launch is contingent upon minimum enrollment targets being met. Applications will be prioritized based on factors such as the age distribution of applicants and parents' ability to offer program support. By completing this form and signing below, you acknowledge that a $50 per application non-refundable application fee is due with the application and that application forms received without the application fee are considered incomplete. (Alif agrees to refund the application fee if an application is not accepted for any reason.)
