2026 Heroes Recovery Award Nomination
Recovery Heroes are the individuals, families, organizations, and churches that support families and those with substance use disorder to achieve long term recovery. Nominate someone that you believe needs to be recognized who is making a difference. We want to honor them at our Recovery Heroes Luncheon on February 20, 2026.

Community Impact Hero - This award honors a faith-based individual or organization whose contributions have significantly influenced the recovery community. Through advocacy, outreach, or service, their work has improved access to resources, reduced stigma, or otherwise enhanced the lives of those in recovery.
Family & Friends Support Hero - This award is for a family member, partner, or friend who has been a crucial part of someone’s recovery. Their unwavering support, love, and understanding have made a significant difference in the recovery journey, showcasing the essential role that loved ones play in fostering healing and growth.
Lifetime Achievement Hero - Presented to an individual who has dedicated many years to advancing the cause of addiction recovery. Whether through direct service, advocacy, research, or program development, their lifetime commitment has had a lasting impact on the field and the lives of countless individuals in recovery.
Recovery Advocate Hero - This award celebrates a passionate individual who has worked tirelessly to promote addiction recovery awareness at the local, state, or national level. Their advocacy efforts have made a meaningful difference in public perception, policy, or resources for those in recovery.
Innovative Program Hero - Awarded to an individual, program or organization that brings a new and unique approach to addiction recovery. This person or group has set new standards or opened up new possibilities for recovery, providing a novel pathway for people seeking recovery, and challenging conventional methods and offering fresh perspectives that benefit the wider community.
Peer Support Hero - Awarded to someone who has gone above and beyond in supporting others through their recovery. This individual actively engages with their peers, offering emotional support, guidance, and motivation, playing an essential role in building a supportive recovery community.
Outstanding Professional Hero - Recognizing a clinician, therapist, or counselor who has made a profound impact on individuals in recovery. Through their dedication, expertise, and compassionate care, they have helped countless individuals navigate the challenges of addiction and embrace long-term recovery.
Junior Achievement Hero -This award celebrates a young person (typically under 25) who has shown incredible determination in overcoming addiction and embracing recovery. Their journey is an inspiration, and their accomplishments highlight the potential of youth to lead change within themselves and their communities.
Recovery Ally Hero - This award is for an individual or organization not in recovery themselves but who has been a dedicated and vocal supporter of the recovery movement. Through advocacy, partnership, or volunteering, they have demonstrated a commitment to helping individuals and the recovery community as a whole.
