ORMOND MAINSTREET, INC. FARMERS MARKET REGULATIONS:
The Market opens at 8AM.
- All vendors must supplu their own 10 X 10 flame retardant tents and seld set up is expected. Tent approval required.
- Vendors must be completely set up by 7:30AM; no vendor is allowed to set up after 7:30AM.
- Market closes at 1PM.
- All vendor spaces must be completely torn down and cleaned by 3PM.
- All vendors must leave their rental space clean and all trash placed in proper receptacles. Trash receptacles will be supplied.
- Each vendor must have their own fire extinguisher in their tent at all times.
- NO SMOKING IN THE PLAZA. No exceptions.
- Vendors must deliver their product to their site and then park in the designated vendor parking area.
- Vendors must sell only pre-approved products. Per the City of Ormond Beach Land Development Code Article IV, Section 2-57, (25) Farmer's markets "All products sold on-site shall be limited to seafood, agriculturally or horticulturally grown products and home manufactured products." No commercial vendors or commercial products allowed.
- Vendors are expected to set up at the market every week. If you are unable to set up, contact the market manager. Extended or excessive absences will result in your removal from the market. You will need to reapply when you are able to return.
- WE DO OUR UTMOST TO BE FAIR TO EACH VENDOR AND FULLY RESPECT YOUR NEEDS.

PAYMENT
Vendor space rental - may be paid weekly PRIOR to set up or you may pay in advance of the month for the entire month to receive a 10% discount. Currently one 10'x10' space is $20/week. A 50% discount is offered on a second space when available.
BUSINESS DOCUMENTS NEEDED
What documents you need, depends on what type of vendor you are.
In general:
Proof of Insurance = All vendors need general liability from an accredited insurance company or business insurance through a homeowner's or rental insurance policy.
Sales Tax ID - All vendors except cottage food or produce vendors (see end of for for cottage food link)
IRS certification letter - (or other proof of status) - Non Profit Organizations
INSURANCE
WHY do we need INSURANCE? This piece from Nationwide pretty much says it all:
'As a concessionaire, exhibitor, or vendor, specialty vendor insurance can help protect you against lawsuits. Your business will be protected against bodily injury and property damage claims that may arise from operations, premises, products, completed operations, advertising or personal injuries.'
- Vendors not in good standing with the State of Florida will be asked to leave the Market.

SALES TAX NUMBER
- Online Registration:https://taxapps.floridarevenue.com/taxregistration
- Vendors who sell goods that require the collection of sales tax are required to remit these moneys directly to the State of Florida on a regular basis. Ormond MainStreet, Inc. expressly denies any sales tax liability incurred by vendors at the Ormond Beach Farmers Market.
FOOD VENDOR LICENSING

Selling taxable items? Apply for a sales tax number from the Florida Sales Tax site above.
Food products and produce are exempt unless you sell items for immediate consumption.
Also, no business license is needed if you are operating under the Cottage Food laws.
