In consideration of the opportunity for me to participate in and/or of my participation in the Consumer Attorneys of Southern California: Trends, Updates & Visionaries produced by Los Angeles Times Communications LLC (“The Times”), I, the undersigned, hereby irrevocably grant to The Times and to their successors, assigns, affiliates, parents, agents, and licensees right and license to publish, distribute, display, broadcast, reproduce, edit, modify, prepare derivative works of, sublicense, and otherwise commercially exploit my name, photograph, image, likeness, voice, information provided, and presentation and to record the same through visual and sound recordings and still photographs (“collectively the “Works”) in any and all media or form of communication whether now existing or hereafter developed, including in the Los Angeles Times newspaper and in social media, digital platforms, television, audio, streaming, or other distribution networks affiliated with or commissioned by the Times.
I also irrevocably grant to The Times the right to use my name, photograph, image, likeness, voice, information provided, and presentation in connection with any marketing, advertising, publicity, or promotion of the Consumer Attorneys of Southern California: Trends, Updates & Visionaries or of The Times, in any and all media or form of communication whether now existing or hereafter developed, including in the Los Angeles Times newspaper and in social media, digital platforms, television, audio, streaming, or other distribution networks affiliated with or commissioned by the Times.
By signing this release, I acknowledge that I do not own the copyright(s) in the Works and that I waive any and all claims to or interest in said Works, and that I will make no claim against The Times for violation of my right of publicity, misappropriation of my name or likeness, invasion of privacy, false light, defamation, unfair business practices (e.g., California’s Unfair Competition and False Advertising laws), or any similar claims that may arise as a result of the use of the Works by The Times Parties. I will make no claim against The Times and their successors, assigns, affiliates, parents, agents, and licensees for violation of intellectual property rights (including without limitation copyrights), invasion of privacy, violation of the right of publicity, unfair business practices, or any other claim that may arise as a result of the use of the images.
