APPOINT A CRUSADE COORDINATOR
Each partnering church should assign a “Crusade Coordinator.” The Crusade Coordinator’s responsibilities: Serve as a mediator between partnering church and Charlotte Crusade Team, Ensure monthly communication is taking place, Ensure the partnering church is fulfilling its commitments (as seen below), Resourcing the partnering church to fulfill all commitments.
MOBILIZE THE CHURCH TO RELATIONAL EVANGELISM (OPERATION ANDREW)
The key to the success of the crusade is mobilizing the church to participate in relational evangelism. Operation Andrew is a simple, step by step guide to help our congregations share their faith. Operation Andrew consists of 3 steps:
1) Intercede - Identify 4 people who don’t have a relationship with Jesus. Pray for them every day for 8 weeks. Our evangelism is linked to our intercession
2) Invest - Invest in those 4 people relationally. Take them to lunch / dinner / golf, etc…and you pay for them. Make an intentional effort to invest in their lives.
3) Invite - By invite we mean bring them to the crusade. Pick them up if you need to, pay for their uber; do what you need to do to bring them to the crusade where they will experience the presence of God and hear the precious Gospel of Jesus Christ.
HOST 8 WEEKS OF PRAYER
On site at the partnering church. Recommend: weekly gathering for 8 weeks / weeknight for 60-90 minutes. Include simple worship element and guided prayer for lost souls, unification of the church and discipleship of believers.
Recommend to announce a minimum of 1 week ahead of time coming from the Lead Pastor. The Nights of Prayer should run in coordination with the start of Operation Andrew (Intercede, Invest, Invite)
FOLLOW UP WITH AND DISCIPLE NEW BELIEVERS FROM THE CRUSADE
We are praying and believing for hundreds of souls to make a decision for Jesus Christ at the crusade. We have to be responsible with the harvest we are believing for. Each partnering church will be provided a list of new believers, who made a decision for Jesus at the crusade. We expect each partnering church to follow up with those new believers within 24-48 hours and invite them to your church. We also expect each partnering church to have a plan / strategy to baptize and disciple these new believers. If your church does not have a discipleship plan we can provide discipleship strategies for your church.
ANNOUNCE CHARLOTTE CRUSADE 2024 TO YOUR CONGREGATION & ON YOUR CHURCH’S SOCIAL MEDIA
Each partnering church is expected to announce the crusade to their congregation both in the weekly worship gathering and on the church’s social media platforms. We recommend the initial announcement come from the Lead Pastor encouraging the congregation to participate in Operation Andrew and the Nights of Prayer leading up to the Crusade. We will provide all content (graphics and videos) to be shared in service and on social media. Announcing the crusade should continue weekly throughout the duration of the 8 weeks leading up to the crusade.
