  • Rule of Conduct

    Eligibility and Registration:

    • Students from partner institutions are eligible to enrol in our distance program.
    • The enrollment process is easily streamlined; however, students must provide all required documentation and meet any prerequisites set by their home institution.

    Course Engagement and Commitment:

    • Students must commit to actively participating in all course activities, discussions, assignments, and assessments throughout the entire semester.
    • Consistent engagement is essential for successful learning outcomes. Lack of participation may lead to academic penalties or disqualification from the program.

    Attendance Policy:

    • Students are expected to attend all scheduled classes and sessions.
    • If students cannot attend, they must notify the host university in advance. Failure to do so will count as a "no-show".

    No-show Policy:

    • A student will be considered a "no-show" if they fail to attend a scheduled class or session without prior notification to the host university.
    • If a student accumulates more than three "no-show" instances without valid reasons or notifications, they will be subject to automatic withdrawal from the class.

    Credit Recognition:

    • Upon completing the semester, students will be awarded a transcript from CYCU, Taiwan detailing the credits they earned. It is crucial to understand that credit recognition at the home university is not guaranteed and is subject to the approval of the respective institution's academic authorities.

    Financial Considerations:

    • As part of the reciprocal agreement between universities, registration and course fees are waived for participating students.
    • Any additional costs, such as materials or resources, must be borne by the students unless otherwise specified.

    Academic Integrity:

    • All students are expected to uphold the highest standards of academic honesty and integrity.
    • Any plagiarism, cheating, or dishonesty will not be tolerated and may result in immediate dismissal from the program.

    Technical Requirements:

    • Students must have access to the necessary technology and internet connection to participate in online classes, discussions, and assessments.
    • Regular backups of coursework and timely submission of assignments are the student's responsibility.

    Communication and Collaboration:

    • Students are encouraged to actively communicate with instructors, peers, and support staff for academic or technical assistance.
    • Collaborative learning is a critical component of our program, and students should be respectful and supportive in all interactions.

    Program Duration and Completion:

    • Students must adhere to the program's academic calendar, including assignment deadlines, examination dates, and other scheduled activities.
    • Incomplete or delayed coursework without valid reasons may impact the student's academic standing and credit recognition.

    Feedback and Evaluation:

    • Students are encouraged to provide feedback on courses, instructors, and overall program experience to help improve the quality of our offerings.
    • Regular evaluations and assessments will be conducted to ensure the program's effectiveness and relevance.

    Termination and Disqualification:

    • Failure to comply with the above rules of conduct, academic dishonesty, or disruptive behaviour may result in immediate termination from the program.
    • Decisions regarding termination or disqualification will be made at the discretion of the program coordinators and university authorities.

By enrolling in our distance program, students agree to abide by these rules of conduct and uphold the values and standards of academic excellence, integrity, and collaboration.
