Round 1 Fitness: Membership Terms and Conditions
General Terms and Conditions
- A member agrees to present their membership card each time they enter the gym and at any other time when requested by a staff member. If you have lost/misplaced or broken your tag, new ones are always available from reception (there is small fee associated with acquiring a new card).
- It is the responsibility of each member to ensure that his/her membership is current and that all payments are up-to-date. Please check the membership screen EACH TIME you tag in to ensure your membership is valid.
- Memberships are non-transferable and non-refundable except with regard to the ‘cooling off’ period as detailed in the ‘Cancellations and Refunds’ section of this document.
- It is COMPULSORY to bring a towel to each session and wipe down any equipment after you have finished with it. If you do not bring a towel, you must purchase one from reception before starting your workout.
- All members must wear appropriate attire for training – including covered shoes – at all times whilst in the gym area. Clothing bearing offensive slogans/images is not permitted.
- A member is to detail any medical condition – past or present – that may inhibit their ability to safely participate in classes/use the gym. Presentation of a written approval from a doctor confirming fitness to exercise may be necessary – on request – before proceeding with an exercise program.
- If a membership applicant is under the age of 18 then a parent/guardian must sign the membership declaration.
- All members agree to have their photos taken for membership security purposes.
- Round One Fitness management reserve the right to alter, reschedule or cancel any class/activity/membership and access to the facility. We commit to detail any/all changes via the Round One Fitness social media channels.
- Round One Fitness shall not be held liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered or occasioned by me as a result of my entry onto the premises and/or my use of any facilities, equipment or programs within the premises.
Direct Debit Terms and Conditions
- Round One Fitness will periodically debit your nominated account for the agreed amount for your fortnightly/month gym membership fees.These debits will be processed by a 3rd party company (EZIDEBIT).
- In the event a payment is rejected by your financial institution, Round One Fitness will contact you via SMS informing you of the failure and of our intention to retry the debit process. Transaction and administrative fees may be charged to your account for any failed payments.
- Any change to credit card or bank account details must be communicated to Round One Fitness in writing immediately. In the event that a credit card payment is rejected for this reason, a rejection fee MAY be applied to your account.
Government Mandated Gym Closures
- In the event of a GOVERNMENT (State or Federal) mandated gym closure (quarantine or other circumstance), ALL MEMBERSHIPS will be remain active for the first SEVEN (7) days of the shutdown - thereafter they will all be FROZEN (and all payments held) by default.
Membership Freezes
- Membership ‘freezes’ are available for all direct debit memberships AND for both 6-month and 12-month pre-paid memberships. Freezes are NOT available for 3-month memberships OR for 10-session passes.
- Each FREEZE must be for a period of at least fourteen (14) days and not more than 90-days. Any suspension of a FIFO membership must be for a period of at least thirty(30) days.
- Each time a membership is ‘REACTIVATED’, it must remain active for a minimum of 30-days.
- All requests to FREEZE a contract must be communicated in writing.
- If applying a FREEZE to a FAMILY membership, all linked memberships will be ‘FROZEN’ for the duration of the freeze.
- For a membership FREEZE to be processed, Round One Fitness must be advised of both the START and END date of the FREEZE. Open-ended suspensions are not available under any circumstances.
Membership Cancellations and Refunds
A forty-eight (48) hour cooling off period will be applied to all
memberships. If the membership is cancelled during this period of time, all monies will be refunded with the exception of a twenty five dollar ($25.00) administration fee PLUS the cost of any equipment taken by the member.
- Refunds are not available for any up-front memberships. Special consideration may be given for a refund in the event that you relocate more than 30kms from the gym OR are diagnosed with a serious medical condition.
- All Direct Debit Memberships have a MINIMUM term of 3-months. Payments for single classes/multi-class packs are available to anyone who is not able to commit to a 3-month term.
- Direct Debit memberships can be cancelled with THIRTY (30) DAYS WRITTEN notice of the intention to cancel to Round 1 Fitness. Email to info@round1fitness.com.au is an acceptable form of written notice.
