  • About PAPER: Post-Colonial Narratives

    Paper: Post-Colonial Narratives grapple with the repercussions and legacy of colonial power structures through the medium of paper. The exhibition features nine artists, and 40 years of papermaking (1981-2021).
     

    The exhibition was organized in partnership with Dieu Donné.

     

     

     

  • About the Curator: Klaudia Ofwona Draber

    Klaudia is the founder and president of KODA [@KODA.lab].

    KODA is a social practice residency for mid-career artists, she also is the Head of Public Relations at Polish Cultural Institute New York. Klaudia has most recently worked with such artists as Lina Puerta, and Hidemi Takagi. She has lived and led arts, technology and strategy projects in Europe, Africa and the United States. Previously Draber served as a consultant to the British Council Arts, and worked at UBS, managing CSR projects and partnerships with artists, galleries and universities. She serves on the Membership Committee of ArtTable and mentors creative entrepreneurs at New Museum’s NEW Inc. Klaudia has been selected as a Helena Rubinstein Fellow of the Curatorial Studies Program at the Whitney Museum of American Art Independent Study Program (ISP) 2021-2022. Klaudia holds an MA in Art Business from the Sotheby‘s Institute of Art New York, where she developed the business plan for KODA, and curated PAPER Plains a papermaking solo exhibition with artist Tahir Carl Karmali. She also holds an Art History Diploma from London Art College, and MA in Economics from the Warsaw School of Economics. Her thesis focused on the value of art, alternative investments and regulations of the art market.
