Certificate Program Details for Owned Cats, Friendly Stray/Barn Cats and Feral Cats Being Kept As Pets

NOTE: You will need to get a certificate prior to scheduling an appointment.

Eligibility:
- Adult owner earning under 70,000/year
Proof of Eligibility:
- Previous year's filed IRS form 1040, or
- Previous year's filed IRS 1040SR
Prices:
- Male Cat $ 80 (both testes must be in scrotal sac)
- Female Cat $100
Price includes:
- Surgery
- A brief pre-surgical exam to assess anesthetic risks. This is NOT a complete exam.
- Short-acting anesthetics with reversal agents
- A pain-relief injection that lasts for the day of surgery
- Rabies vaccine if cat is over 3 months of age and client requests it
- Access to the on-line store if the client requests it (prices for items sold there are listed on the store website)
Available at extra price (ONLY for pets getting surgery):
- Pain relief medication for at-home use (recommended for all friendly cats)
- FVRCP (distemper vaccine)
- FIV/FeLV testing
- Advantage Multi applied or sold by the dose
- Nail Trim
- Ear cleaning
- E-collars (rarely needed)
- Pre-operative blood testing (requires separate appointment)
- Microchips with lifetime regsitration
- Umbilical hernia repair
How it Works:
- Gather your proof of income, make a copy, and black out your social security number

We will send an email with a certificate and the link to set up your surgery appointment. NOTE: You will need your certificate number when you make your appointment and you will need your actual certificate the morning of surgery.
Certificate Program Details for Feral Cats

NOTE: You will need to get a certificate prior to scheduling an appointment.

Eligibility:
- Adult caretaker earning under 70,000/year
Proof of Eligibility:
- Your filed IRS Form 1040, or
- Your filed IRS form 1040SR
Requirements:
- Cats must arrive in a trap
- Cats must get an ear-tip with the surgery. This entails removal of the tip of the left ear.
Prices:
- Male Cat $65
- Female Cat $65
Price includes:
- Surgery
- A visual "exam" to look for obvious indications of increased anesthetic risk
- Short-acting anesthetics with reversal agents
- A pain-relief injection that lasts for the day
- An ear tip (Required for this pricing)
- A rabies vaccine
Available at extra price:
- pain medication for at-home use (recommended for all friendly cats but very tough to get into feral cats)

Cat Retained Testicle Policy

Testes that cannot be felt almost always result in the cat being turned away from the clinic due to the time required to perform the surgery.

Testes that can be felt but are not in the sac, can be removed for an extra charge at the doctor's sole discretion. You will find the price that will be added to your certificate pricing by scrolling down after clicking this link: Cat Price Calculator
Feral Cat Retained Testicle Policy

There is an extra charge for retained testicles. The charge varies depending on whether the testes are internal or external. Please tell the staff when you drop off if you do not want the cat neutered in the event they will incurr these extra charges. In such cases, you will be charged for the anesthesia as we need to anesthetize the cats before knowing whether they have retained testes.

The dog listed on this form qualifies for the FOBCAS Pitbull Certificate Program at Ace of Spays. With this certificate, the price of $50 covers standard/uncomplicated(*) spay or neuter surgery, an injection for pain relief, anesthesia and a nail trim.
