MEN'S U21 / MEN'S RESTRICTED (21-39) / MEN'S VETERANS

Two-stage Round Robin league.

Stage one will be 5 groups of Five players. Each competitor will play 4 matches against every other player in their group. The 5 winners of each group will go into the afternoon session in Division 1 (Championship Division), the runners-up will go into Division 2 (Consolation Division), the 3rd placed players into Division 3, 4th placed players into Division 4 and 5th placed players into Division 5

Each Division will play a Round Robin session in the afternoon. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed players in the Championship and Consolation Divisions will receive medals on the day.

WOMEN'S OPEN

Round robin (groups of 7) followed by Knockout (The top two players in each group go through to the Semi-finals).

ENTRY FORM

An entry form must be completed by each player. Entries to be received no later than 12th January 2024. All entrants should ensure that they have read the regulations, which apply to this tournament

IMPORTANT: NO ENTRY WILL BE ACCEPTED UNLESS THE FOLLOWING UNDERTAKING IS SIGNED.

Please read the Tournament Regulations and conditions and unless otherwise agreed in advance do not enter unless you are prepared to play until the projected finish time of between 6-7 pm.

I undertake to observe the regulations of the tournament, to abide by the decisions of the Referee, and to fulfil the schedule of play arranged for me unless prevented from doing so by circumstances beyond my control and accepted as such by the Referee.

Table Tennis England require consent to the use of personal data in the administration of this competition, in accordance with the TTE Privacy Policy; the information will be shared where necessary with the organisers and event committee. ANTI-DOPING DECLARATION

The UK Anti-Doping Rules apply to all persons entering an event or competition, for whichever is the longer of a) the length of their membership or licence period; or b) 12 months from the date of their participation, whether or not the entrant or licence holder is a citizen of, or resident in, the UK.

A player under 18 may not participate in a Table Tennis England event or competition unless a parent or guardian of that player has consented to testing of that player in the following form:

If player is under 18:
Anti-Doping Acknowledgment I have legal responsibility for the player named above and I confirm that I have read the TTE Anti-Doping Regulations (Appendix P) and that I hereby acknowledge that the player is bound by these Regulations.

TOURNAMENT REGULATIONS:

1. TTE Regulations Part A (Regulated Competitions) and Part B (Tournament Regulations) apply to the tournament.
2. ITTF Regulations for International Competitions apply to the tournament except where otherwise specified in TTE Regulations Parts A or B, or in this form.
3. Every entrant must be affiliated as a Compete Plus Member or provide proof of being a member of another National Association affiliated to the ITTF, and is not affiliated to TTE.
4. A person only affiliated as a Compete Member of Table Tennis England may enter the tournament upon payment of the appropriate Single Competition Licence fee with their entry form.
5. Completion and submission of this Entry Form signifies agreement by the entrant to the conditions of the competition, including any variations of ITTF regulations.
6. All matches shall be the best of five games up to 11.
7. The final order in a Group shall be decided as per ITTF Regulation 3.7.5.
8. If players pull out before the day we will try to find replacements. Players looking for scratch entries need to inform the Organiser in advance to secure their place. Turning up on the day, while allowed is riskier.
9. Competitors must report to Control on arrival and must not leave the hall without obtaining permission. Players absent when called upon to play are
   liable to be scratched.
10. The Organiser reserves the right to merge/cancel events if entries are low.
11. There will be no separate practice facilities, but competitors will be permitted to practice on match tables at the discretion of Control.
12. All competitors may be required to umpire at least one match in each event entered.
13. Doping shall not take place either before or during play. Doping control tests may take place.
14. No gluing up or boosting will be allowed.
15. No competitor or official shall engage in betting on players or matches.
16. Match results will be submitted for inclusion in the Table Tennis England computer ranking scheme.
17. Playing clothing shall consist of a shirt and shorts, trousers, leggings or skirt, or a one-part sports outfit, socks and playing shoes; a sports hijab may also be worn. Other garments shall not be worn during play except with the permission of the referee. ITTF 3.2.2.1 amended. The main colour of a shirt, shorts, trousers or skirt, other than sleeves and collar of a shirt, shall be clearly different from that of the ball in use. ITTF 3.2.2.2 amended.
18. Competitors in the Men's Under 21s Event must have been born in or after 2003.
19. Competitors in the Men's Restricted Event must have been born in or between 1984 and 2002
20. Competitors in the Men's Veterans must have been born in or before 1983.

TOURNAMENT INFORMATION:

1. Entries must be RECEIVED by Brett Holt brettholtuk@gmail.com by no later than 12th January 2024
2. The Draw will be held on Monday 15th January 2024.
3. If it becomes necessary to restrict entries, priority will be given in order of receipt. No entry will be accepted after the draw has been made.
4. Food & drink may be purchased at the venue & there is ample free parking. There are showers & changing room facilities.
5. Open cans/other drinks are NOT allowed in the playing hall.
6. Play will take place on up to 21 Butterfly tables. Butterfly Nets & Posts. Scoring machines will be available for all matches.
7. Play will be with Sanwei 3 star white balls.
8. Tables will be individually courted. Min ceiling height: 7m; Min. Court Size: 9m X 4.5m.
9. Lighting is general & fluorescent lighting. Light intensity is 500 lux. Min floor to lighting height: 7m.
10. The venue has wooden sprung flooring.
11. There will be no admission charge.
12. The venue has ample free car parking spaces immediately to the right of the main entrance on Spur Road. There is a security barrier at the main gate.
13. The results from this tournament will qualify for computer ranking points.
14. No refunds are possible after the closing date under any circumstances.
15. Medals will be awarded to winners & runners-up in the Women's Open and in the Championship and Consolation Divisions of all Men's events.
16. All entries and event details are subject to COVID-related restrictions, or protocols that Table Tennis England may deem necessary. Venues used for events may impose COVID restrictions that go beyond government guidance.

18. TTE, the Organisers and the Referee will not tolerate bad language or verbal abuse of volunteers, officials, staff or venue staff, nor a failure to follow the operational directions of stewards and event staff. We will treat all such instances extremely seriously and will take disciplinary action if necessary.
