  • Behavior Management Agreement

The Dane County Dog Project may implement a behavior management plan for handlers and/or their dogs that are displaying inappropriate or concerning behaviors.   This plan is to insure the safety of all  handlers, their dogs, trainers, and committee members. A color code system is used  to better help our committee members  offer consistent, clear communication to our 4-H members when a problem arises. How this system works; if a member or dog exhibits a concerning  behavior, a colored card will be documented in their folder.  If a handler/dog continues to demonstrate concerning  behaviors after receiving a colored card then this could be considered grounds for dismissal from the 4-H Dog Project. Committee members reserve the right to dismiss any dog at any time during training.
