CAEP STEM Scholarship

The Carolyn Anne Edwards Poole Memorial STEM Scholarship Application
ELIGIBILITY

A Broward and Miami-Dade County Public Schools High School Graduating Senior

(Class of 2025)

Candidate must currently have at least a 3.5 GPA

CRITERIA

The candidate will submit an essay describing why they intend to pursue a STEM degree and how the degree will impact society.

A 2 minute video detailing your specific need for the scholarship.

Significant involvement in school and community activities.

PROCEDURE

The application and video must be submitted and uploaded by

11:59 pm on

December 20th, 2025.

Two letters of recommendation (non-relatives) must be emailed by

January 9th, 2026.

At least one letter must be from a non-relative. The letter should speak to the character, integrity and or uniqueness of the student.

Copies of reference letters from your Guidance Department file are not acceptable.
All questions must be answered completely.

Include a copy of High School Transcript and Activity Sheet. The Activity Sheet should reflect school and community activities, as well as any awards and recognition you have received in these activities.

Finalists will be interviewed by the selection committee in early April.

Scholarships will be presented at the Senior Awards Ceremony on

Saturday, January 24th, 2026.
