"Share the Joy" Children Christmas Assistance 2025

Explanation and Purpose
Dear Applicant,

Share the Joy works towards providing Christmas gifts to children who otherwise may not have any. We cannot make any promises or guarantees of approval. Share the Joy works in conjunction with other non-profits in the area to prevent overlap of services. Families and individuals are to apply to only one non-profit in providing Christmas gifts; ie.. only apply to Share the Joy OR Salvation Army.

“Share the Joy” is for Scott County children (infants, toddlers, and preschoolers) and Scott County students that are currently enrolled in school (18 and under).

The acceptance of your application will be based on need. To be considered to receive assistance through “Share the Joy”, please complete this application. Only one application can be submitted for each family. If more than one application is submitted for your family, you may be disqualified.

Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis, and based on need (monthly income at federal poverty level or financial hardship).
- All adults responsible for children must submit income.
- Applicants are not to request specific sponsors.
- Applicants can not request gift cards.
- Gifts received are not to be returned to the store.
- Applicants should be specific about what they need or want, with correct sizes.
- Children of more than one household can only apply with one custodial parent.
- Sponsors are not to be harassed; disrespect will bar you from Share the Joy.
Share the Joy works diligently to connect applicants with sponsors. However, if you miss the scheduled pickup or event, we cannot be held responsible for any further issues. Organizations like Shop with a Cop, Toys for Tots, and other civic groups typically offer one-time events, and missing them means we are not able to assist further. If you do not have transportation, please make plans accordingly through a friend or our local public transport system.
