  Dear Parent/Guardian,
  
  Welcome! This program provides holiday assistance specifically to Scott County Schools (SCS) students and their infant/toddler siblings.
  
  Application Eligibility Criteria
  
  To submit an application, your household MUST meet both of the following requirements:
  - You have at least one student currently enrolled in Scott County Schools who is approved for Free & Reduced Lunch based on household income.
  - You are the primary parent or legal guardian on file with the district.
  Who You Can Include on This Form:
  - Enrolled SCS Students: Pre-K through Grade 12.
  - Younger Siblings: Children living in the same household under school age (ages 0–4 / not yet eligible for Kindergarten).
  - Note: Older non-enrolled siblings, high school graduates, or school-age children not enrolled in SCS cannot be included. Limit one application per student/household. All applications will be verified against district records.
  Not Eligible for Share the Joy:
  - SCS families NOT on Free & Reduced Lunch.
  - Adult-only households or non-SCS families.
  Note for Families with Infants & Toddlers (Ages 0–4):
  - Children under 4 who are not yet in Scott County Schools may be added to this form if your household receives public assistance (e.g., SNAP, KTAP, WIC, Medicaid/KCHIP, Section 8/Public Housing, etc.)
  Important Program Policies & Expectations
  - Sponsor Communication: When your household is assigned to a sponsor, your sponsor will contact you directly. If you have not heard from your sponsor by December 14th, please email gscsharethejoy@gmail.com.
  - Mandatory Event Attendance & Pickup: Share the Joy works diligently to connect families with community sponsors and partners (such as Shop with a Cop, Toys for Tots, and civic groups). These partners host one-time distribution events.
  - Transportation & Attendance Policy: If you miss your scheduled distribution date or event, we are unable to reschedule or provide alternative gifts. Please arrange reliable transportation through a friend, family member, or public transit ahead of time.
