Thanksgiving Basket Assembly & Delivery Volunteer Signup 2024

As part of a tradition since 1994, the St. Ann Men's Club coordinates the distribution of Thanksgiving Baskets to those in need on the Sunday before Thanksgiving Day.

This year we are expecting to deliver approximately 1,400 baskets and we could not do it without the generosity of our wonderful parish.

We need assistance with the sorting/preparation of the food items, boxing, and delivery of the Thanksgiving Baskets.

Task: (English Language Required) Call recipients to confirm their information and delivery or pickup. An MS Excel file with the calling list will be provided. You will use your own cell phone to confirm delivery details or their pickup. Mandatory Requirement: You must have a computer and Microsoft Excel, and you must have a phone. Spanish speaking helpful but not required.

Task: Food Count & Setup: Help count food items, setup tables, assemble boxes and unload bulk deliveries (canned goods, turkeys and potatoes). Requirement: For safety, volunteers are restricted to age 13+

Task: Basket Assembly: Place items in boxes or run boxes through assemble line. Requirement: For safety, volunteers are restricted to age 13+

Task: Basket Delivery: Driver must have a vehicle that can accommodate several boxes, turkeys and foil pans. - Please only register the Driver. Using your vehicle and a mapping tool on your phone, we will be providing a document with the addresses to be delivered to. Expect boxes to be ready at Noon. Requirement: Your own vehicle, GPS or a Smartphone for directions.

Task: Recipient on-site pickup: Help load fully assembled boxes into vehicles of families picking up their own basket. Requirement: For safety, volunteers are restricted to age 13+

Task: Call Families with returned baskets: Working from the reception room at St Ann, you will call families with returned baskets to set up re-delivery or pickup. Requirement: Must have a phone. We do need a few Spanish speaking folks for this task.

Task: Redelivery of Thanksgiving Baskets (Location: St Ann Assembly Room): We need vehicles - Please only register the Driver. Using your vehicle, we will be providing maps for most routes. Requirement: Your own vehicle, GPS or a Smartphone for directions
