Coaching for Creatives at the Poetry Pharmacy
Are you a poet, author or creative practitioner who would like to set some goals this year to move your work-in-progress forwards? Perhaps you’ve taken time away from your artistic practice and would like to ease back in meaningfully to creating and sustaining a committed practice? Or maybe you desire some other kind of change within the realm of an already established creative life?
I am Julia Forster, Author Coach at Write Within and Co-Director of The Literary Consultancy's Being A Writer and I am seeking applications from poets, authors and creative practitioners who would like to access affordable coaching sessions at the Poetry Pharmacy in Bishop’s Castle in 2024.
I am offering monthly one-hour 1:1 affordable coaching sessions at the Poetry Pharmacy with up to three clients on the third Monday of the month between March - September 2024 (excluding August), totalling six hours of face-to-face coaching at fhe following times: 10.30am - 11.30am or 1.00pm - 2.00pm or 2.30pom - 3.30pm.
Potential clients would need to be available on ALL of the following six dates to meet at the Pharmacy:
- Monday 18 March 2024
- Monday 15 April 2024
- Monday 10 May 2024
- Monday 17 June 2024
- Monday 15 July 2024
- Monday 16 September 2024
The sessions are £40 an hour, including free coffee/tea and cake, with the total cost over the sessions coming to £240. Clients pay monthly via BACS or cash.
More about the Opportunity
Coaching offers a non-judgemental space held with care by the coach for the client to think, reflect, and raise awareness of their issues by which they are currently challenged. Coaches bear witness, listen, support and challenge, with the client setting the agenda and the pace of inner work.
This coaching offer is distinct from mentoring or manuscript assessment. Coaching sessions will instead be focused on setting goals in conversation with a forward focus, and I will help you to raise your awareness and responsibility, and accountability to yourselves.
To express your interest, please complete the short form below. There is no obligation to take out the coaching offer if you complete this form.
I also require of potential clients that they commit to a free 30-minute Zoom or phone consultation before the coaching commences in order that you can find out more about what coaching involves, ask any questions, and so that we can meet each other first and get to know one another a little.
I will not be using the information gathered below for any other purpose other than to find clients for these sessions, and I will not store or share your data other than in the event that, if I am over-subscribed, I might ask if I can keep hold of your email address in order to contact you again if I am able to offer a similar service in 2025. If I find I have more potential clients than slots available, I will assess the applications based on creative need.
Apply by filling in the form below by midnight on 29 February 2024. If you need further information or have any questions, please don't hestitate to contact me via email on julia@writewithin.wales
