2024 Grant Guidelines
About:
The mission of the Arkansas Farm Bureau Foundation is to further understanding of agricultural and rural issues, and to support the agriculture and rural community through financial support for education, research, litigation and disaster relief. The ArFB Foundation Grant Program is a funding opportunity for Arkansas nonprofits and tax-exempt entities, to support projects that are relevant to the ArFB Foundation’s mission.
Eligibility:
To be eligible, applicants must be a nonprofit or tax-exempt entity in Arkansas.
Award Structure:
There will be 1 award cycle for grants per year and awarded grants will not exceed $10,000.
Grant Application Timeline:
2024 Grant Cycle:
- Applications will be due August 30.
- Recipients will be notified by October 4.
- Funding will be issued by October 31.
- Program Reports will be due by October 31 of the following year.
Application Guidelines:
- Grant applications are now an online form. (Link below)
- Grant application forms must be completed and submitted using the online form.
- All grant application forms must be signed by a county Farm Bureau board officer once they have been submitted. (This will be handled by Farm Bureau staff; the applicant is not responsible for the signature.)
- Any single entity or organization that has received ArFB Foundation funding for a specific program for a total of two years, is not eligible to reapply for subsequent funding for the same program. After two years of funding for the same program, the entity or organization will be eligible to apply for funding of a different program.
- A specific program will be limited to a total of $10,000 in funding.
- Grants will not be made to individuals; fundraising events or celebrations; political or lobbying organizations; fraternal, athletic or social organizations; or organizations that do not directly serve Arkansas.
- Funding is not available for wages and benefits.
- Funding is not available for construction or purchase of facilities or purchase/rental of large equipment.
- All applications must be for projects relevant to the ArFB Foundation’s Mission.
- Any grant application not meeting guidelines will be eliminated from the review process prior to examination by the ArFB Foundation Board. The following areas will disqualify:
- Applicant failing to follow directions.
- Applications submitted after the deadline.
- Equipment or wages and benefits in the budget.
- Applications that do not meet basic qualifications.
