Kāhui St David’s is for the community. It's a centre for music and place where everyone can feel at home. From kapa haka to concerts, taonga pūoro to timpani, wānanga to West Side Story, it’s all happening here. We welcome you to join us with your musical talents, and to put on your own events here. The core principles of Kāhui St David's are: connection, celebration, & creativity.
our spaces
The Great Hall combines superb acoustics, a pitched floor, and soaring leadlight windows. Its capacity is 380. Two smaller halls and other rooms are available for performing artists, conferences and community use. Our spaces can be hired for weddings & funerals, business events & gatherings.

GREAT HALL. Single span, light-filled auditorium with gently raked floor (audience). Superb acoustics. Suitable for solo performance through to full choirs, orchestra. Audience capacity 380 in comfortable pew seating. Stage lighting, RGB (multi colour) lighting for sanctuary (stage backdrop), Midas stage box and mixing console, speakers and amplification, high spec projector with 160” screen and props lifting capability up to 100kg. Soaring stained glass and leadlight windows. Historic 1910 Croft Pipe Organ and grand piano. Features Sappers' Memorial Chapel and Lamp of Remembrance. Wheelchair parking. Heating. AV specifications available on request. Hire rates. Full day $3500, half $1800. Arts / not for profit, $1600 full day / $800 half day.
NORTH CHAPEL. Wānanga / reception room with its own entrance and stage. Wooden stage, carpeted floor. Dimmable lighting. Suitable also as a green room for major events in the Great Hall. Standing 110 people. 74 seated. Scale 6.4m x 13.6m, Stage 6.4m x 2.8m. Hire rates are $950 full day, $650 half day. Arts / not for profit, $750 / $500.
