  • BOARD MEMBER APPLICATION

  • Thank you for your interest in becoming a board member of the Morgan Art of Papermaking Conservatory and Educational Foundation. Completing this application will help identify your interests and experience to support the board committees and activity at the Morgan Conservatory. As part of the application process, you may be requested to attend an interview with board members. Board selections are made to assure that board members offer a range of experiences and skills. Applications are kept on file for subsequent years.

If you have any questions regarding the application, please contact the board chair, Maggie Denk-Leigh, at maggiedenk@gmail.com.

If preferred, you may download a fillable PDF form of the application from our website: https://www.morganconservatory.org/board.

  • Volunteer Responsibilities

As a Morgan Conservatory board member, participation on at least one committee or operational team is required to maintain healthy involvement with the organization. Please indicate your area(s) of interest.

  • Support & Availability

As a board member, you are giving your time and expertise to support organizational excellence. The board term of service is three years, with an option to renew that service for an additional term. Board members are expected to attend monthly board meetings, as well as engage in committee meetings and related work.

Board members are expected to make a personally significant financial contribution to the annual fund each year. Additionally, each board member should maintain an active Morgan membership. Please know that the amount of the contribution is less important than the act of donating.  It is important to funders to see 100% financial support of Board members, proof we believe in the mission of the organization. Please feel free to discuss this with the board chair at any point.

Please consider attending exhibition openings, outreach events, and the annual fundraiser(s). Please indicate if you have obligations or restrictions at any point of the year making this difficult. We try to ensure board representation at as many events as possible.
