YLWF 2024-25 APP

About the program:

Youth Leadership Wake Forest is a year-long program for 10th-12th grade students who have demonstrated leadership abilities and have interest in learning about our community. Our mission is for participants to assume leadership roles in our schools and to become more involved in civic, cultural, economic development, and philanthropic organizations. Youth Leadership Wake Forest requires a community reference. The class is limited to 40 students. Tuition for the year is $500 per student. Tuition includes lunch and snacks, program materials, t-shirts, name badges, journals, rental fees, and facilitator time. Applications are due by August 1st, 2025 to be considered for the program. Applicants will be notified by August 15th, 2025 of their acceptance into the program.
All sessions are from 9 am - 1 pm (exception: Graduation 4:30-6:30 pm) and are an approved school field trip, chaperoned by school staff and adults from the Chamber business community. Session topics and dates:

- Teamwork and Self-Awareness (October 8, 2025)
- Building Your Own Personal Brand (November 12, 2025)
- Finance & Budgeting (December 10, 2025)
- Community Leadership and Involvement (January 14, 2026)
- Civic Leadership and Economic Development (February 11, 2026)
- Interview Skills and Time Management (March 11, 2026)
- Graduation (April 8, 2026)
