  • **ASTM/SEI-approved equestrian helmets are required for all mounted activities (bicycle, skateboard, motorcycle etc. helmets are not suitable for equine activities and are not allowed in riding lessons). While Wrisky Ranch cannot provide helmets to riders for liability reasons, suitable ones can be found atSt. Croix Saddlery, Fleet Farm and Tractor supply. 

  • Beginner Camp We begin each day with hands on barn and horse management. Learning how to feed and care for horses. We cover different sections (classroom, project, and riding) each day. We cover a multitude of topics to educate campers about horses. Examples: horse breeds and colors, basic horse health, cost of horses etc. The main focus of riding is safety first. We work on an individual basis and at the comfort level of each rider. We begin with basics and work on rider balance and coordination. Must provide own lunch. Appropriate for ages 8 and up. Riders with no experience. Monday- Thursday 8am-1pm $450/camper. Minimum of three to run- max

     

    intermediate camp 

    This camp is geared towards current beginner lesson students, returning beginner campers, that are comfortable with leading, grooming, tacking and confident at the walk and steering. If you’re unsure about your level or have questions, simply reach out. We begin each day with horse and barn management and move into riding. We will work at individuals comfort level. Goals are to become balanced in the trot and able to confidently steer. Will introduce obstacles and ground work. Must provide own lunch. Monday- thursday 8am-1pm $450/ camper Minimum of 3- max of 6

    Advanced camp 

    Our advanced course is best suited for those confident at the walk and trot and ready too work on cantering. (Instructor approval required for signup) We start the week with reviewing and assessing riders skills to aid us in the best approach to help them reach their riding goals. We will introduce the canter, lateral work, and small jumps. We start the day with horse and barn management and then move into riding. We save a portion of each day to learn a new management skill such as proper leg wraps, nutrition for our horses and other horse management. Must provid own lunch. Monday- thursday 8am-1pm $450/ camper Minimum of 2- max of 6

    Pony camp 

    This camp is geared towards 4-7 year olds and offers a fun and educational horsey experience. We offer crafts, classroom and riding experiences. We start each day as a group re-exploring the previous days learning and then breaking off into smaller groups and rotating through stations. Tuesday-Thursday 9-11 am $275/ camper Minimum of four to run- max of 12

I AGREE in consideration for my participation in any WRISKY RANCH (WR) event to the following:
I AGREE that I choose to participate voluntarily in the WR Event with my horse or WR horse, as a rider, owner, lessee, or as parent or guardian of a junior exhibitor (me). I am fully aware and acknowledge that horse sports and the WR Events involve inherent dangerous risks of accident, loss and serious bodily injury including broken bones, head injuries, trauma, pain, suffering, or death (“Harm”).
I AGREE to RELEASE WR from all claims for money damages or otherwise for any Harm to me or my horse and for any Harm caused by me of my horse to others, even in the Harm resulted, directly or indirectly, from the negligence of WR , OR ROCHELLE WRISKY, and employees. 
I AGREE to expressly assume all risks of Harm to me or my horse, including Harm resulting from the negligence of WR. 
I AGREE to indemnify (that is, to pay any losses, damages, or costs incurred by) WR and to hold them harmless with respect to claims for Harm to me or my horse, and for claims made by others for any Harm caused by me or my horse at the WR Event. 
If I am a parent of guardian of a junior , I consent to the child’s participation and AGREE to all of the above provisions and Agree to assume all of the obligations of this release on the child’s behalf. I agree child is allowed to ride without guardian present on the property. 
I AGREE that “Wrisky Ranch” and “Rochelle and Luke Wrisky ” as used above includes all of their officials, employees, personnel, and volunteers.
I represent that I have the requisite training, coaching, and abilities to safely partake in this event. I AGREE Wrisky Ranch has permission to photograph and/or record me/ my child and use for promotional and educational purposes. Updated 8/10/2023
