  • EXPECTATIONS FOR SERVICE AS A MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

  • Directors of FFLA:

    • have a commitment to all aspects of FFLA’s mission;

    • will attend meetings of the Board of Directors and committees and participate in phone conferences or will offer his or her resignation from the Board of Directors;

    • will serve as a member of and participate actively in one or more committees;

    • are knowledgeable about the Board of Directors legal responsibilities and about FFLA’s articles, bylaws and policies;

    • are responsible with other Board of Director members for the policies and programs of FFLA;

    • are responsible with other Board of Director members for fiscal and general oversight and for the well-being of FFLA;

    • will actively promote FFLA and encourage and support its staff; and

    • as permitted or unless restricted by rule or law, will give a personally significant donation and/or actively assist the development committee in fundraising efforts.
