The membership covenant exists to promote a healthy church through biblical commitments church members make to one another and to church leadership. Although you will not find a formal church membership covenant in the Bible neither will you find a church budget or a church insurance policy. The commitments below reflect the vows a bride and groom speak to one another on their wedding day as they begin a new marital relationship with one another. The first part of this covenant is made up of commitments from the church eldership towards the members who make it Gathering Church. The second portion of the covenant is made up of commitments Gathering Church members make to the leadership of the church and to the other members who make it up. These commitments are not to be taken lightly and should be agreed to with a sincere and prayerful heart toward their fulfillment. These commitments are also agreed to in a spirit of humility and grace recognizing that only Jesus has been perfect in His love for others and His obedience to the Father.
If you have any questions regarding these please feel free to reach out to Ryan@ComeGather.com or another elder at Gathering.
