This program offers you a unique opportunity every month to connect with nature, observe birds and other wildlife, and experience biodiversity up close.
More than just thrilling outdoor adventures, our Nature Walks are a gateway to learning. Open to all, school students, college youth, and adult nature lovers they offer a chance to deepen understanding and take meaningful steps toward protecting our environment. This initiative serves as a powerful medium of practical learning, featuring brainstorming sessions, discussions on traditional knowledge, bird counting (Bird Race), quizzes, games, community interactions, cleanup drives, trekking, eco-heritage tours, bird walks, forest trails, tree walks, butterfly watches, heronry monitoring, and various conservation-related activities.
The date, location, time, and activity details for each month’s Nature Walk will be conveyed to registered participants via email, WhatsApp, or telephone one week in advance. We strongly encourage early registration to ensure efficient coordination and to allow participants to gain the fullest benefit from this enriching experience.

Learn to spot birds, understand ecosystems, and connect with fellow nature lovers, all in the calm of an early morning walk.

Come with curiosity, leave with wonder.It’s an excellent site for bird lovers, photographers, and researchers. We invite you to join us in our efforts to conserve this wetland and its birdlife, and to contribute to strengthening wetland conservation in Bihar.
About Gidhhi Lake - Giddhi Lake, located in Begampur village under Siloa Block of Nalanda district, is a verified eBird hotspot and home to more than 100 bird species. 🌿 Basic Guidelines & Birding Ethics

● Maintain Silence: Avoid disturbing birds.
● Wear Camouflaged Clothing: Bright colors (red, yellow) can scare birds away.
● Observe from a Distance: If a bird changes its behavior, you are too close.
● Stick to Designated Paths.
● Carry a Water Bottle.
Optional: Insect repellent, hat/cap.

● Do Not Feed Birds.
Avoid Flash Photography.
● Do Not Remove Plants, Feathers, Nests, or Eggs.
● Avoid Strong Perfumes or Scents: They may attract insects or disturb wildlife.
● Do Not Ignore Safety.
Leave No Trace: Carry back all litter.
