City Managers Office:
The City of Antioch aims to provide a space to connect unhoused residents to critical resources and create a setting where providers and local businesses can share information and build relationships.

City Attorneys Office:
The City Attorney’s Office serves as “corporate” legal counsel to the City as an entity and advises the City Council and City staff on contractual, regulatory and litigation matters.
Examples of Duties: Work on policy projects, memos, and presentations on, participate in City Council meetings.
Human Resources:
The Human Resources Department is responsible for overseeing the management of personnel services including recruitment, benefits administration, employee relations, labor relations, training, and maintaining the personnel classification system.
Example of Duties: Creating, maintaining, and entering information into databases, filing, and creating files, create and update records ensuring accuracy and validity of information.
Parks and Rcreation:
Parks and Recreation provides programs and services for youth and family enrichment, health and fitness, sports and recreation, and senior citizens.
Example of Duties: Interact with and assist supervision of youth in games and activities and in proper use of playground apparatus. Maintain safety and positive behavior of participants.
Economic Development:
This Department has a multi-pronged approach focused primarily on the areas of retail attraction, downtown revitalization, business retention, and job development.
Example of Duties: Curating and updating business listing database, creating flyers for local businesses, creating influencer videos of local businesses and tagging the business
Community Development:
The Community Development Department (CDD) is responsible for managing development and growth in the best interests of the City by applying regulations and standards that make our City a better place in which to live, work, and play.
Example of duties: May assist in administrative tasks related to code enforcement and rental licensing. Assist with review and coordination of temporary sign permits and special event applications.
Environmental Sustainability:
The Environmental Resources Division aims to empower the community of Antioch to reduce our impact and the impact of others on our local and global resources by providing green programs, incentives, and tips on resource conservation topics, such as, energy efficiency, waste and pollution prevention, and water conservation.
Example of duties: Assist as a Resource Recovery Ambassador, engage community members to sort their waste correctly, and answer community members’ questions related to sorting their waste correctly.
Youth Services:
This division provides Antioch youth and young adults ages 12-26 with different services. Our programs include enrichment opportunities, academic support, mentorship, social and emotional well-being, civic and social engagement, and workforce development.
Example of duties: Performing general office clerk duties, creating and passing out flyers, maintaining updated records, creation of excel sheets, run Youth Services social media, updating paperwork, maintaining documents, and word processing.
Unhoused Services:
The City Attorney Office assumes full responsibility for planning, administering, directing, overseeing, and evaluating the activities and operations of all City departments.
Examples of duties: Managing filing system, recording information as needed, greeting clients and visitors as needed, updating paperwork, maintaining documents, and word processing.
Community Delvelopment Block Grants:
CDBG utilizes grants to support homelessness prevention and affordable housing.
Examples of Duties: Typing reports, letters and other business documents. Organization and ability to multitask for filing and completing several clerical and administrative tasks at once
Animal Services:
The Antioch Animal Services Center is responsible for the enforcement of Local and State Laws relating to the care, control, and protection of animals and of our citizens.
Examples of Duties: Retrieve phone messages, respond to emails, prepare documents, administrative assistance. Receive and sort through donation items, check inventory, food pantry monitoring.
Prepare surgery tools, cleaning surgery tools, cleaning surgery room, sterilization of tools.
