This camp is for campers who LOVE to move and have energy! Our Camp will include plenty of physical gym play, sensory and STEM activities, and art projects. Each week will hold a new theme, and everyday will dive deep into exploring, creating and learning through play. A strong emphasis on social skills. group cooperation, teamwork, and communication will be placed on the daily curriculum that will also include group discussions, art activities, games, and more!

We Rock Teachers and Coaches will be leading camp activities and will assist with any other specialized instruction necessary. It may be determined after observation that your child will need one-to-one assistance. If your child needs a personal assistant, you are welcome to have someone accompany them or we may be able to provide a one-on-one for your child at an additional expense.

Campers must be between 3 and 10 years old. Potty-trained is a necessity unless your child has a personal assistant which can be provided at an additional cost. In specific cases we will allow older children to enroll if they fit the requirements. Camp enrollment is on a first come-first serve basis.

Camp ONLY takes place in the We Rock the Spectrum Fenton facility. There will be no field trips. We may have outside vendors treat the kids to some fun activities and ALL families will be notified in advance.

  • All campers should bring a backpack filled with the items listed below:

One change of clothes (at a minimum)

Lunch (must be clearly labeled )

AM & PM Snack:  We would like your child to have their specific needs met; please send their preferred food for lunch and two snacks, just in case.

Your child's communication device is needed. Unless directed by a parent or therapist, these will be used only for communication, not for playing games, etc.

Chew Necklace for Mouthing Behaviors (if needed - If a persistent issue arises, the student will be provided one at cost)

Diapers and extra undergarments if the child is still potty training.

If a client misses a day of camp and does not provide We Rock the Spectrum Fenton with a minimum of 48 hours notice from the start of the scheduled camp, they will not receive credit for that day.

Your payment holds your spot, and once the spots are complete, we begin a waitlist for those who wish to attend. Many families bring their children to our camp, and if you do not plan on attending, we would like to provide that spot to another family.

Early Drop-Off or Late Pick-Up Fees:

We unlock our doors at 8:00 am. We cannot take children early for their scheduled camp session. Staff are scheduled accordingly, and if you arrive earlier or stay later than your scheduled camp time, this will change our teacher-to-student ratio. We understand that life happens, but ALL families are to arrive at least 5 minutes before your scheduled pick-up time so the instructors can discuss your camper's day. If you pick your child up more than 5 minutes late, you will be charged $15 for every 30 minutes or any part of it.

I acknowledge that I have read and understand the above statements by signing this form.

An autism or adhd diagnosis does not dictate one-on-one care. Most of our campers can have a wonderful, safe experience and find friends regardless of their diagnosis because they are in a sensory-friendly environment. This is how our we thrive when it comes to having a truly inclusive and exciting camp for children of all abilities.

Children are matched by their interests, vities are also tailored around those special interests to help foster long-lasting friendships. Group ratios are 3-5 depending on the abilities. One-on-one is reserved for specific cases where an older child may require extra care for or have a risk of harming themselves or others, or need extra assistance with emotional regulation that goes beyond assistance with transitions or adjustments.

Campers who do not require one-on-one care but have a diagnosis can also receive funding from Special Education Foundation and/or the Recreation Council. Please speak to Ms Lyla about these resources.

Every Camper enjoys a free open play pass. This allows us to get to know your child and determine whether they are a one-on-one.

One-on-one care is a flat rate of $20 per hour. It's also extremely flexible when it comes to scheduling.

Campers who do not require one-on-one care is only $79 a day. This flat rate allows you the freedom to choose the exact days or weeks you need for camp.

We have also added a Leadership Camp at $49 per day. Does your child wish to become a teacher, are they a natural Occupational Therapist? Are they compassionate and always racing to help? We can help hone these skills in our incredible leadership skills camp. Each child in leadership will help us start games and have the same fun as any camper, but they will develop skills in communicating with children of different abilities, they also get to choose the selection of games, and learn the science behind all the equipment. Some children with parent approval will also receve first aid training.

  • Behavior Policy

We Rock the Spectrum Fenton is a full-inclusion gym for ALL kids of ALL abilities. This includes all behaviors. We understand that all campers exhibit different behaviors for different reasons. With this being said, we want to ensure that ALL campers are safe during their days at camp. Parents will be notified immediately if we observe campers exhibiting aggressive* behaviors. If the behavior occurs towards others more than three times, parents must provide a 1:1 assistant for their child for the remainder of camp. This ensures that all children remain safe and that behaviors can be managed appropriately. Families are welcomed and encouraged to bring in their own 1:1 support provider if needed. Management must be notified in advance, and a valid business ID must be kept on file for the provider. *Aggression is the act or attempted act of causing harm to another. This may or may not include hitting, kicking, biting, shoving, pinching, or pulling hair. Aggression may or may not leave a visible mark on another individual. What constitutes aggression is up to Mrs.Lyla and the educators/coaches.

Our top priority is maintaining a fun, safe learning environment for all children when participating in summer camp. Due to the nature of our camp, it is essential for We Rock the Spectrum-Fenton Team Members to remain knowledgeable in ethical crisis management procedures. A crisis is continuous aggressive, self-injurious, or destructive behaviors that pose an immediate safety issue for the individual and those around them. Members of our team have been trained in Childhood crisis and de-escalation strategies. We Rock the Spectrum-Fenton has taken the nature of our camps and incorporated various prevention strategies into our curriculum to decrease the likelihood of these behaviors occurring, although we recognize these behaviors could occur during any activities throughout the camp day. Documentation and immediate notification will be provided to Parents/Guardians after the de-escalation of the crisis has been met. This may be done via text, email, paper reports, or phone calls.

If my child begins to engage in continuous, high-magnitude aggression, self-injury, or property destruction while under the supervision of We Rock the Spectrum-Fenton Team Members, I, as a parent or legal guardian, allow team members to utilize procedures to maintain a safe teaching environment for my child and those around them.
