Join Public Health Watch for a community conversation about cancer-causing benzene, found in the air in Channelview neighborhoods. We'll be joined by experts on air pollution and public health who will speak about the risks benzene poses and how to protect your and your family’s health.
A new investigation by Public Health Watch found that the Channelview’s Jacintoport neighborhood has been exposed to dangerously high levels of benzene for nearly twenty years — and the state has known about it the whole time. We’ll share what we’ve discovered and have resources available to help residents learn what steps they can take to protect themselves and demand cleaner air.
