The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) grant is intended to help further your understanding and implementation of DEI programs. USTA Georgia will support your efforts by providing grant funding of up to $1,500 towards a customized training session, structured exclusively for the DEI work you seek for your CTA. This training would be for your Board of Directors, employees, and/or volunteers.
For this grant, your CTA would work with a DEI facilitator to customize the training. You may request specific areas of discussion/training needed for your CTA or allow the facilitator to develop a custom program for your group.
You may work with one of the recommended DEI facilitators listed below, or use someone of your own choosing. The recommended DEI facilitators have agreed to include the following elements in your training/consultation and any other facilitator you may choose should provide the same:
1. You should expect to receive a pre-session consultation with the DEI training facilitator. This will allow the facilitator to develop a customized and targeted session focused on your identified areas of concern/interest.
2. After the training, you will receive a summary of the scope of work completed, with recommendations for next steps.
The type of session may be in-person or virtual. Training costs and length of the training session will be dependent on the facilitator, content, number of participants and availability and will be determined during the pre-session consulation.
This grant will be a reimbursement grant for up to $1500. A completed accountability form, which requires a copy of facilitator's invoice and training session summary to be attached, must be submitted in order for funds to be distributed. The accountabililty form will be sent to you after the below application of intent has been submitted.
