    The St. George Art Festival is seeking experienced and passionate individuals to join our esteemed panel of jurors. As a juror, you will play a crucial role in evaluating festival entries and contributing to the selection of outstanding artworks that will be showcased at our event.
  • As a juror, you will be responsible for scoring festival entries based on the following criteria, with a total of 10 points possible:

    1. Market Viability (1-3 points): Assessing whether the artist's work is likely to have a successful show in the St. George Art Festival market.
    2. Aesthetic Merit (1-4 points): Evaluating whether the artwork is pleasing, thought-provoking, or otherwise notable.
    3. Technical Skill (1-3 points): Examining the dedication to craft, adept skill in composition, design, craftsmanship skills, and overall quality of the artwork.

    Jurying Process:

    • Jurors will have one week to score art festival applications.
    • Jurying will be conducted online on Zapp, and jurors will need a Zapp login to participate.
    • Jurors will log in from the admin section to access the festival entries.
    • Two Jury members will be selected for each category to score pieces in the in-person adjudication area, with an estimated time commitment of approximately 2 hours. This in-person Jurying will take place on March 28, 2024 in the evening.
  • Please note that you are ineligible to participate on a jury if you have submitted an application as an artist in that medium.

  • We're seeking jurors to assess applications in several categories of the visual arts. Juries play a pivotal role in shaping the vibrant atmosphere of the St. George Art Festival. 

    Our festival is a celebration of diverse arts, and we're dedicated to showcasing high-quality creativity. To achieve this, we welcome a spectrum of voices and perspectives in our discussions. While expertise in various genres is valuable, we also value a genuine passion for art and an appreciation for its impact on our lives.
