2024 - Spring - The Formation Course

SPRING 2024

The Formation Course is for anyone seeking a renewed or deeper personal faith. The course will invite participants to explore the richness of a life with God that is centered on Jesus, filled with the Spirit, and overflowing with goodness and generosity. Topics include:What is spiritual formation? What is the gospel Jesus taught? How can we experience change and freedom in our lives?What are spiritual disciplines and why are they important? Each week during this 5-week course, participants will share a meal, hear a brief teaching, and engage in small group discussion and formational practices. The course ends with a retreat happening the first weekend of May.
Spring 2024 Schedule

The Formation Course consists of 5 evening sessions and concludes with a retreat experience. This course will take place in the Disciples' Center at Christ Church Overland Park, 5500 W. 91st Street, Overland Park, KS 66207.

Wednesdays, April 3 - May 1
6:00 - 8:00 pm

May 3/4 - The Formation Retreat
Expect a local event on Friday evening and partial day Saturday with no overnight stay included. Childcare will not be provided onsite during the retreat but resources are available to help if this is a barrier to participation.

Meals

Sharing dinner is an integral part of The Formation Course. Participants have the option of adding on-site meals for the five evening sessions. Suggested total cost is $50/adult. Please enter 0 if you do not wish to purchase meals and plan to bring your own food or eat beforehand. NOTE: Retreat costs will be finalized and communicated separately.
