Best practices for providing MLC to the student with a documented disability:
The classroom has a ceiling microphone to capture questions from the audience
The professor should wear a microphone (provided by ACT) during the lecture to enhance the sound for the MLC feed
Questions asked by students, may not be clear, repeating the questions for the class and the MLC is encouraged and highly recommended
Use technology and/or the interactive screen (provided by ACT) to project written work, PowerPoints, class notes, etc. display the information clearly and prominently
Reduce the speed of speech when possible
Reminder of the recorded during confidential, personal, or private discussions with all students in the classroom. If this is forgotten, please contact ACT for assistance
Review the MLC feed periodically to ensure quality
