    RE: Petition

    Dear Mayor

    ‘Deebing Downs’

We are writing to you to express our continued disappointment that the Ipswich City Council has still not approved the residential subdivision for land at 146 and 184 Siddans Road, Deebing Heights QLD.

This traditional family subdivision of approx 150 lots, ranging from 600m2 – 3000m2 will offer the people of Ipswich something not currently available….and unlikely to be available in this area ever again.

We believe that the estate meets a significant demand for larger lots in the Ripley Valley area. Deebing Downs is the first net green positive site of its kind, this should be embraced. More than 50% of the site is PERMANANTLY DEDICATED GREENSPACE.

Deebing Downs is conveniently located near existing and planned infrastructure facilities such as schools, shops and transport. Deebing Downs offers supply in an area close to employment and activity centres.

Most importantly Deebing Downs gives the people of Ipswich an opportunity to buy before anyone else. The locals have first rights on all blocks. During construction Deebing Downs will comprise 50% Ipswich based workforce.

Deebing Downs will directly or indirectly create over 100 jobs!!!

On behalf of the residents of Ipswich, who, overwhelmingly support Deebing Downs, we urge you to approve this project. In doing so it will almost immediately assist in resolving the housing crisis.
