The majority, if not all, of the plants you are collecting from your local Yass Area Network (YAN) nursery are ‘Climate Ready’. The plants have been grown as part of YAN’s Climate Ready Revegetation (CRR) Project, which aims to enhance the genetic diversity of selected local native plant species. This is based on the understanding that increased genetic diversity is likely to help species adapt to climate change through natural selection over generations. These plants have been propagated from seed soured locally and from other carefully selected provenances across Australia’s eastern states.

I acknowledge that many volunteer hours have gone into selecting species, sourcing seed, and growing and nurturing these plants. I will continue this care until they are planted in the ground, and beyond so that they can reach their natural potential.I endeavour to plant the tubestock at a time and in locations where they'll have the best opportunity not just to survive but to thrive.
