Hello there, we are so happy you found us! We provide quality, experienced, professional sitters to families in Colorado Springs and the surrounding areas. PLEASE NOTE we are not a physical facility or daycare- our sitters ALWAYS travel to client homes to provide care. Our sitters pick up jobs as they please depending on the date, time, location, etc. You would be able to work as much or as little as you’d like with complete flexibility over your own schedule. - Our sitters are paid directly by our clients, in whichever method works best for both parties. You will not be on payroll, therefore we do not take any amount or percentage of your hourly rate. You are guaranteed to be paid at minimum the published hourly rates. Because you are paid directly by our clients and we do not process your payment, you are considered self employed and will not receive any tax forms from Rocky Mountain Sitters. - If you have your own kiddos, you will have access to our sitters and will not have to pay any booking fees- please know that you have community within our team! However, we try our best to not have sitters bring their own children along with them to jobs. If there is no other option, the client MUST agree to it beforehand. Do you understand?
- It is unacceptable to show up to a client's home smelling like smoke of any kind or under the influence of any kind of drugs or alcohol. In addition, it is unacceptable to bring any kind of drug paraphernalia (including vapes) to client homes. Do you understand?
- We communicate almost solely through online platforms, can you commit to checking messages on a daily basis?
- All sitters must complete a background check before being brought on to our team. Our background check company checks federal, state, and county criminal records, the sex offender registry, the global watchlist, driving record, and verifies social security. Rocky Mountain Sitters splits the base cost of $75 for the background check with the sitter. Rocky Mountain Sitters will also pay any additional state and county fees associated with your background check. AFTER your interview and offer to join our team, we will send you a $37 invoice via email that covers half the base cost of the background check, which is a tax deductible expense for the sitter. Please keep in mind the absolute minimum a sitter can make for one babysitting job is $42, so the cost of this invoice is easily covered by just working one job. Please type below, "I understand."
- Interviews are held in person and typically last around 90 minutes. The exact location and time can be discussed based on availability and your location. We will go over expectations and how Rocky Mountain Sitters operates in depth. No need to dress formal, feel free to dress as you would to go babysit!
