  • Hosted Moose Day Moose Walk Detailed information

How far is the walk? The walk will be a 3.4 mile loop on packed snow trail and road. There are multiple options to turn back if you'd like to make for a shorter loop.

Do I need skis or snowshoes? No. Warm winter boots will be fine. Yaktracks and hiking poles may also be useful.

Should I bring binoculars? Yes! Binoulars are very helpful for spotting moose in the Cache Creek drainage.

What do I need to wear? Please dress warmly! It's not uncommon for temperatures to be below zero at the begining of the walk.

What else should I bring? We will have coffee and bagels, but a waterbottle, cell phone (for recording moose observations), and camera is a good idea.
