In the open source world, "CLA" means "Contributor License Agreement." It's a legal form contributors sign before adding to a project. Basically, it says they own their work and are okay with others using and changing it. CLAs keep the project safe legally and make sure everyone's on the same page about using the contributions.

It's standard and paired with open source licenses regularly.
