Your nominated stables will also be inspected by the RIB Field Officer. Aspects under review during this. Aspects under review during this stable inspection will include:
1. Medications: Ensures permitted, clearly labeled, and properly stored medications are within expiration dates. Includes proper disposal of sharps and accurate treatment records.
2. Food and Water: Verifies animals have clean, palatable water and uncontaminated feed.
3. Facilities: Assesses cleanliness, hygiene, repair status, and compliance with size requirements for stables or kennels.
4. Exercise and Socialisation: Evaluates daily exercise opportunities and social interaction suitability (visual contact for horses).
5. Safety: Inspects gear, training equipment, emergency plans, fire extinguishers, first aid kits, and escape prevention measures.
6. Animal Inspection: Includes a sample-based visual assessment of animals' health, condition, behavior, and hoof/nail care.
7. Animal Identification Records: Validates traceability records, resolves discrepancies, and identifies unrecorded animals.
8. Personnel: Confirms all staff are appropriately licensed.

If the property where your stables are located is not considered to be in a satisfactory condition by the RIB Field Officer, your application will not be progressed further.
