    Peer Tutoring Program
  • Dear Tutee,

Welcome to the Peer Tutoring Program. We are pleased to support you on your journey to aim for academic success. Having being accepted into the Peer Tutoring Program as a Tutee (student seeking academic support from a peer tutor), you must abide by the below stated terms and conditions. We hope the below terms and conditions serve as a guideline for you as you begin this journey.

    • Once you join a tutoring group, you are expected to attend all the tutoring sessions.
    • You are eligible to receive a dedicated number of tutoring sessions per semester. This number is determined based on the time you have been accepted into the Peer Tutoring Program.
      • For Individual Tutees:
        • You are eligible to receive a maximum of 50 tutoring hours during the Fall and Winter semester; and a maximum of 20 tutoring hours during the Spring semester.
      • For Group Tutees
        • If you are joining a new group, you are eligible to receive a maximum of 50 tutoring hours during the Fall and Winter semester; and a maximum of 20 tutoring hours during the Spring semester.
        • If you are joining an existing group, you are eligible to receive the remaining tutoring hours for that specific group.
    • Your tutor will facilitate tutoring sessions regularly with a minimum of three (3) hours per week.
    • You are expected to respect and follow the agreed schedule.
    • You are encouraged to seek help from the tutor for a test/examination with an appropriate prior notice (for example, inform your tutor about your mid-term 1-2 weeks in advance).
    • You can be terminated from the Peer Tutoring Program, in the event you have missed three (3) consecutive tutoring sessions without valid reasoning.
    • You can expect the tutor to help you understand the study material, instead of teaching you the study material.
    • Be respectful and kind towards the tutors.
    • Abide by the UDST Code of Conduct at all times.
    • You are expected to provide a one (1) week notice via email to an Academic Learning Support Specialist by emailing PeerTutoring@udst.edu.qa and your tutor, should you wish to discontinue your tutoring sessions.

Please be advised that attending a tutoring session does not eliminate the importance of self-study.
