    Peer Tutoring Program
  • Dear Tutor,

    Welcome to the Peer Tutoring Program. We are pleased to support you as you support your peers in improving their learning experience. Having being accepted into the Peer Tutoring Program as a Tutor (student offering academic support to a peer tutee), you must abide by the below stated terms and conditions. We hope the below terms and conditions serve as a guideline for you as you begin this journey.

    • You are expected to offer a maximum of 50 hours of tutoring for the entire semester (applicable for Fall and Winter) or a maximum of 20 hours of tutoring for the entire semester (applicable for Spring).
    • You will facilitate tutoring sessions regularly with a minimum of three (3) hours per week.
    • Tutoring sessions must be conducted only in-person or via virtual conferencing platforms (such as MS Teams, Zoom, etc.)
    • You are expected to respect and follow the agreed schedule.
    • You will receive a monetary compensation/payment for your approved hours of work at the rate of forty (40) Qatari Riyal per hour, irrespective/regardless of the number of tutees in a given session.
    • Any additional hours worked must be requested and approved in advance by filling the officla applicaiton [click here].
    • Be respectful and kind towards the tutees. Respect the tutee’s privacy and confidentiality of information at all times.
    • Abide by the UDST Code of Conduct at all times.
    • You are expected to provide a two (2) weeks’ notice via email to an Academic Learning Support Specialist on PeerTutoring@udst.edu.qa, should you wish to terminate the tutoring sessions.
    • Non-compliance to any of the above stated terms and conditions can result in immediate termination.
    • Report any concerns or non-compliance of tutees directly to an Academic Learning Support Specialist on PeerTutoring@udst.edu.qa

    Upon signing this contract and until its validity, you are not permitted to be employed under the Student Employment Program at UDST. Should you breach this clause by signing a Student Employment contract, you will
    be blacklisted from participating in the Peer Tutoring Program.
