I want to make sure the arrangement will work out well for everyone, so please bear with me as I ask you some questions about yourself, your home, and your experience with animals. Unfortunately, cats can (and sadly do) fall out of windows, off balconies, etc., resulting in injuries and even death. How would you prevent this from happening in your home?
Are there any activities in your home (artwork, indoor gardening, etc.) that could potentially pose a hazard to a cat? If yes, please explain.
Do any members of your household smoke inside the home? (Smoking of any kind could be relevant, for example, if the cat has asthma.)

Please give me a sense of how many hours a day the cat would usually be alone. Most adult cats are fine being left alone for extended periods, but kittens and some adult cats need more attention and stimulation.

What you would feed the cat? Is that something you'd like to discuss/learn more about?

If you could no longer care for your cat(s), due to serious illness, having to leave the country, etc. do you have a plan for what you would do with your cat(s)? If yes, please explain.

Over the course of a cat's lifetime, the costs of supplies and routine veterinary care can be significant, even without serious medical issues. Dental care, which many cats need at some point, may cost $1000 in NYC, and a hospitalization can cost more. Pet health insurance can definitely make costs more manageable. If your cat were to need veterinary care that was more than you could manage, what do you think you would do?
We depend on adoption fees to offset the cost of vaccinations, spay/neuter procedures, and other medical costs for the cats we offer for adoption. Are you prepared to pay this expense? We collect $200 per cat or kitten.
