Founded in 2023 by Laura Tolbert LLC, along with The Positivity Poppers Foundation, is proud to introduce the Jacques Tolbert Music Scholarship. This scholarship initiative is dedicated to supporting education in the creative arts, specifically music, among young students in the metropolitan Atlanta area. Our mission is to provide resources that foster musical talent and support students in their pursuit of musical excellence.
Purpose: The Jacques Tolbert Music Scholarship is designed to identify and support middle school and high school students who demonstrate a profound passion for music and a dedication to learning and growing as musicians. Eligible students must be actively enrolled in their school's band program and show both a financial need and a commitment to their musical education. This scholarship is particularly aimed at students who aspire to enhance their musical skills and contribute to their school's music community.
Reward: Selected students from the pool of qualified applicants will receive a scholarship of $500.00 for the purchase of a musical instrument to aid in their musical journey. The scholarship will be awarded as a check, made out to both the student and their school's music program, ensuring the funds are utilized for their intended purpose. Additionally, the scholarship recipient will gain recognition at school band concerts and have the opportunity to perform with the band, showcasing their talent and progress.
In the spirit of Jacques Tolbert, a celebrated music producer and owner of HOT M4 Radio, this scholarship not only aims to financially assist young musicians but also to inspire and cultivate a lifelong love for music. The recipient is encouraged to utilize this opportunity to expand their musical knowledge and abilities, contributing to their personal and artistic growth.
Our hope is that the Jacques Tolbert Music Scholarship will create lasting impact, encouraging young musicians to explore and enhance their musical talents, and to carry forward Jacques Tolbert's legacy of passion for music.
