Thanks for your interest in volunteering with us at City Farm SLO! Our volunteers help make our work possible while learning about sustainable growing practices and enjoying the beautiful farm in the company of new friends!
Volunteers 18 and under must be accompanied by an adult. All volunteers must sign a release of liability waiver and adhere to the policies in our volunteer handbook (waiver must be signed by a legal guardian for those under 18).
Saturday volunteer days take place on the second and fourth Saturday of each month from 9 AM - 12 PM. Typical volunteer day activities include planting, weeding, harvesting, compost management, and animal management. No experience is required.
Harvest volunteer shifts take place every Tuesday and Thursday from 9 AM - 12 PM. Harvest Team Volunteers must commit to at least 2 days/month, as harvest techniques are specialized and require initial training. New harvest volunteers must attend a training shift before attending a harvest shift. Training shifts are scheduled as needed. Must be 18 or older.
