- Step back 10 feet from the electrical panel and take a photo. This lets the installers see what will be required to install the inverter. This also lets us see if there are any obstructions in front of the meter that will cause problems with the final inspection of the system. (Example:ACUnit,Bushes,Walls)

- The electrical mast is the big pipe that feeds the main panel with electricity from the utility service. It usually comes up from the ground and connects to the main panel. Sometimes it comes from the roof to the top of the main panel. On older homes down near the ground the mast gets rusted and and beat up, and sometimes the pipe is disconnected from the meter. Snap a couple of photos of this, and make sure to take photos if you see any rust or if the pipe is coming apart

- For this photo we need to see the entire panel from top to bottom. A photo of just the breakers is not enough. It is always helpful for the electrician to see the whole panel so that he knows what he is working with, and whether or not we can find a way to connect solar to the panel

It is important when taking photos of the sub panel to include the whole panel in the photo. Sometimes reps will only take a photo of the breakers in the sub panel, but that will not show us everything we need to see.
