2. Responsibilities of HH: HH agrees to:
- Cover approved veterinary expenses and preventive care for the foster pet.
- Provide crates for felines and leash and collar for canines.
- Supply food through Tractor Supply; however, Foster Parent will be responsible for picking up the food.
- Assist in coordinating veterinary appointments and medical needs.
3. Responsibilities of Foster Parent: The Foster Parent agrees to:
- Provide a safe, secure, and loving environment for the foster pet.
- Transport the foster pet to and from veterinary appointments.
- Utilize the crates, leash, and collar provided by HH.
- Pick up food supplies from Tractor Supply as needed.
- Coordinate with potential adopters as directed by HH.
- Complete required forms, including but not limited to adoption applications, health records, and behavior assessments.
4. Duration of Foster Care: The expected duration of foster care is 2-3months, but it may be extended or shortened as needed. Either party may terminate this agreement with a 14-day written notice. Unless in urgent situation
5. Adoption Process: If a suitable adopter is found, the Foster Parent agrees to cooperate with HH in facilitating the adoption process. The Foster Parent has the first right of adoption if they wish to adopt the foster pet. The full adoption fee must be paid.
6. Indemnification: The Foster Parent understands that they foster the pet at their own risk and agrees to indemnify and hold harmless HH from any claims arising out of the foster care arrangement.
7. Agreement Termination: This agreement may be terminated by mutual agreement of both parties or by either party upon written notice for a valid reason, such as a breach of the terms outlined in this agreement.
8. Governing Law: This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Maine.
