Rethinking Quality and Sustainability in Transformative and Dynamic Organisations Innovation , Trust, Autonomy, and Wellbeing Across Sectors
IDEA College Symposium 2027
Regardless of sector, studies repeatedly foreground questions of quality, employee wellbeing, staff retention, flexibility, and innovation, while also calling attention to the critical role of trust, autonomy, and meaningful participation in decision-making.
These highlight a broader need to rethink how organisations operate in transformative and dynamic environments, particularly contexts characterised by rapid change, increasing complexity, and evolving professional expectations. Rather than viewing quality, performance, and wellbeing as competing priorities, this symposium invites contributions that explore how they can be mutually reinforcing within adaptive and forward-looking organisational cultures.
This call for papers seeks to bring together research and practice that critically examines how organisations can remain resilient, innovative, and sustainable, while responding ethically and creatively to the needs of their people. Contributions from across industries, including education, business, healthcare, social care, public services, technology, hospitality, finance and compliance, and the creative industries will be considered.
