Confirmation Rally

The Confirmation Rally serves to develop young Catholics to be missionary disciples and servant leaders of the church and the community by gathering the confirmands for study, prayer, and fellowship.

• Saturday, April 13, 2024 | 9:30 am to 3:00 pm at St. Dominic’s Church (416-1st Ave, Neepawa, MB R0J 1H0)

• Saturday, April 20, 2024 | 9:30 am to 3:00 pm at Holy Rosary Church (510 River Ave, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0E1)

• Saturday, May 11, 2024 | 9:30 am to 3:00 pm at St. Paul's High School (2200 Grant Ave, Winnipeg, MB R3P 0P8)

As parent and/or legal guardian, I remain legally responsible for any personal actions taken by the above-named minor participant. My child has been informed that he/she is to act respectfully and to abide by any other rules and regulations specific to the Confirmation Rally, including directions and instructions from the event’s organizers during all phases of the Confirmation Rally.

As parent/legal guardian, I release, hold harmless, and forever discharge the Archdiocese of Winnipeg, and the Roman Catholic Episcopal Corporation, its staff; officers, directors, employees, and affiliates, from all liability, claims, losses, damages, costs, or expenses, and waive any such claims against and such persons or organizations, arising directly or indirectly from, or attributable in connection with the sponsorship and organization of Archdiocese of Winnipeg, and the Roman Catholic Episcopal Corporation.

Furthermore, in consideration of the organization and sponsorship by the Archdiocese of Winnipeg, and the Roman Catholic Episcopal Corporation, I hereby indemnify and hold harmless its staff; officers, directors, employees, and affiliates, for all claims, losses, damages, costs, or expenses arising directly or indirectly from my/ my child’s actions and participation.

I hereby declare that I have read and understand the above behavioral expectations and liability waiver and have voluntarily executed this document for me/my child to participate in the 2024 Confirmation Rally on the date and location chosen to attend this gathering.

I hereby grant permission to the Archdiocese of Winnipeg and its representatives to take photographs or videos of me at the ON FIRE - Confirmation Rally 2024. I further grant the Archdiocese of Winnipeg and its representatives the right to reproduce, use, exhibit, display, broadcast and distribute and create works of these images and recordings in any media now known or later developed for promoting, publicizing or explaining its activities and for administrative, educational or research purposes. I acknowledge that the Archdiocese of Winnipeg owns all rights to the images and recordings. I hereby release, defend, indemnify and hold harmless Archdiocese of Winnipeg, its staff; officers, directors, employees and affiliates, from and against any claims, damages or liability arising from or related to the use of the images, recordings or materials. Please note that the conditions for the use of these photographs and videos are at the bottom of this form. Please also note that websites and social media pages can be viewed throughout the world and not just in Canada where our laws apply.

Conditions of Use:

- This form is valid until another form changing your permission is signed, dated and submitted. 
- We will not include personal e-mail addresses, postal addresses, or telephone numbers on pictures, relating to the children on our websites or in printed publications.
- If we use photographs/videos of individual children, we will not use the name of that child in the accompanying text or photo/video caption.
- If we use the name of a child in an article, we will not use a photograph of that child to accompany the article.
- We may use group photographs with very general labels, such as `group photo` or `Confirmation Candidates 2024”.
- We will only use images of children who are suitably dressed, to reduce the risk of such images being used inappropriately.

We will not include personal details such as email addresses, postal addresses, or telephone numbers on pictures, relating to you in any photographic image and videos on our websites or in printed publications. Your name will only be provided in cases where you may be asked to share your thoughts, what you learned, and/or reflections regarding the event. We will include your first name and at most, the initial of your last name only (i.e. John S., Jane D.). Should your full name be used, you will be contacted for permission. We may use group photographs with very general labels, such as `group photo` or `Confirmation Candidates`. We will only use images of those who are suitably dressed, to reduce the risk of such images being used inappropriately.
