What crew would you like to be part of? Please consider this carefully before choosing. Where are you skills and experience best suited? How long can you be on site?
Stewards. There are a variety of steward roles for when the festival goes live. So if you're unable to arrive on site until Wednesday 21st August there is still loads for you to volunteer for. You will still get time off to see the festival and enjoy yourself.
Early Bird Stewards. There are a limited number of early bird steward positions from Monday 19th August.
Build crew are on site up to two weeks before the festival. The work is physically demanding. If you are part of the build crew we do ask for a five day committment as you will be on site a while before the event. In recognition of the hard work you will put in you will receive meals for the duration of your stay. If you can't be on site for much longer than the festival itself please choose another option.
Break crew will be a separate team to the Build crew this year. Again physically demanding especially after a weekend partying!! Please do not choose this option if you are unable to stay for the full week after the event.
Crew catering. Chef needs assistance in the kitchen a week before the festival as well as during and after the festival. If you are able to help out before please make sure you click the correct dates on the form to show your availabilty.
Art/Decor. The crew works the full week leading up to the event. If you are unable to do this please choose another option.
Traffic and Welcoming Team. Traffic is a public facing, social, and logistical role essential for the smooth running of the festival, traffic stewards are primarily responsible for greeting and welcoming people as they arrive in vehicles, as well as directing them to the right place. We will need traffic volunteers from the 18th August with our peak time team working when guests arrive on site on Thursday 22nd and Friday 23rd August.
Box Office. You will be part of the team that greet guests as they arrive at the festival and get their wristbands. This is a busy role, customer facing but also great as everyone is excited to be arriving on site.
Drivers. We will always need people with their own vehicles to drive to get ingredients for the kitchen or to run errands. You must have your own vehicle that you are happy to use. Expenses will be reimbursed. You must be able to be on site for a week leading up to the event.
We appreciate this is a lot of information but we hope this helps you to make the right choice for you and your crew. If you are unsure which crew to volunteer for please email us at crew@solfest.co.uk
