Let's Rescue Dogs Foster Application Form
Thank you for your interest in becoming a foster with Lets Rescue Dogs! Dogs simply cannot be rescued without amazing people like you who are willing to open up their homes to a dog in need. Please read the entirety of the heading below for requirements before proceeding with your application.
Fostering is 100% FREE. We supply food, beds, crates, flea/tick medicine, a collar/harness, a leash and we pay for all medical and veterinary care for your foster. Unfortunately, at this time, we can only accept fosters who live in Southern California, USA but we accept adoptions from all 50 states and Canada. All foster families must keep their dogs loved and well cared for for the entirety of their stay with you which is until they get adopted by their forever families. Foster families have first priority for adoptions but must notify their foster coordinator within 24 hours of their foster dog receiving an adoption application from another interested party. All resident dogs must be up to date on vaccines and must be able to tolerate other dogs. Please understand that we do not have a brick and mortar facility. Returning your foster dog is unacceptable and puts the dog in immediate danger. Nobody can guarantee the temperament of any dog who has just left a shelter environment. We cannot guarantee that your foster dog will be potty trained, crate trained or know basic commands. Let's Rescue Dogs can and will assist in training or rehabilitation to help your foster dog be the best they can be in your home. It takes at least 3 days for any dog to feel safe in a new environment. Please refer to our foster handbook for a comprehensive instruction manual regarding overall care of your foster dog.

Foster Agreement
I agree to commit to my foster dog until it has been fully adopted. I will not, under any circumstances give up on my foster dog. I understand that adoptions usually take 3 to 6 months but can span up to a year or more, especially for large breeds.
I understand that there is no way to know if my foster dog will have undesirable traits such as marking, excessive barking, cat/small animal aggression, is not potty trained, is not crate trained or has separation anxiety. I acknowledge this and am committed to working with Lets Rescue Dogs to resolve these issues wether that be self training with guidance from a Let's Rescue Dogs team member or with professional training paid for by Let's Rescue Dogs.
If I choose to adopt my foster dog, and am approved to do so, I understand that the adoption fee is $350 for adult dogs 1 year - 5 years, $250 for dogs over 5 years, And $450 for puppies under 6 months. The adoption fee is non-refundable. If my intention is to foster to adopt, I understand that I should proceed to fill out an adoption application
