Call for Solo, Duo, and Small Group Show Idea Submissions
We are currently accepting submissions for solo and small group shows for 2025. We accept work from artists working in various mediums; however, we are currently not accepting applications for AI-generated work, graphic design, or installation.
IMPORTANT INFO:
We highly encourage you to scope out our Gallery Space early to get a good idea of the amount of space and how you may wish to display your work.
Ideas will be accepted based on a variety of criteria including availability, display quality, and artistic passion.
Exhibition dates: One month
Opening Reception: First Friday of the month, 6-8 pm
ALL COMMUNICATIONS WILL BE SENT VIA EMAIL.
HOW IT WORKS:
SET UP:
Set up is Tuesday, the week of your “Opening Night”, 1st Friday of the month.
Coordinate a time with us during store hours (11am-6pm) to set up
We are available to help hang your artwork, BUT you are ultimately responsible for hanging your show and being present during the hanging and installation process
Bring all artwork descriptions and pricing to accompany each piece. Planted. will provide a template for label formatting. Please fill out a label for each piece, print, and bring with you to installation day.
Our Gallery is equipped with a Staas Hanging System (Acrylic wire and zipper hangers that can be adjusted to various heights and positions).
The zipper hooks and lines perform best when the hanging hardware is positioned at the top of your art piece. Hanging multiple pieces on the same line is possible, however depending on the weight and physics, the artwork may or may not lay completely flat or aligned. We also have four pedestals available for 3D works. Two of them are 42"x12"x12" and two are 48"x12"x12"
Once your artwork is hung, we will curate the space with plants and a beverage table.
GALLERY OPENING NIGHT (1st Friday of the Month):
Begins at 6pm, ends at 8pm.
Planted. Will keep the doors open, lights on, music playing, and staff present to handle sales.
You are responsible for arriving promptly and staying for the duration of your show
WE provide beer from Dimensional
WE provide clear beverage cups
YOU are welcome to bring other beverages, a snack tray, or anything else you would like to share.
YOU provide your own plates, bowls, napkins, or other snack containers
COMMISSION/SALES:
Your art is sold through commission, ALL WORK MUST BE FOR SALE.
Planted. Receives a 30% commission from any sale we make during the month your art is hanging in our gallery.
WE handle the transactions and taxes
YOU receive an “Artist Payout” at the end of your show, upon picking up your artwork. With an itemized list of what you sold.
Artwork sold will be left hanging for the duration of your show, to be picked up by the purchaser at the end of the show. UNLESS you have replacement pieces or preferences otherwise.
TEAR DOWN:
Tear down is no later than TUESDAY, the last week of the month.
Coordinate a time with us during store hours (11am-6pm) to take down your artwork. We will help but are not responsible for taking your show down.
Work left after the pre-arranged pick-up date will be considered a donation to Planted.’s permanent collection
