ACCESSIBILITY ON-SITE MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION
Role Overview:
As an On-Site Events Accessibility Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing accessibility strategies during events. This involves ensuring that outdoor events/venues and services are inclusive and accommodating to individuals with diverse needs, specifically the d/Deaf, Disabled and Neurodivergent communities. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including event organisers, vendors, and participants, to create an on-site environment that fosters equal opportunities for all attendees. You will lead on all on-site aspects of Accessibility, including responding to any disabled Accessibility enquiries and to support in the Accessibility delivery at a number of UK events as stated in your offer of contract.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough accessibility assessments for on-site event venues and recommend necessary adjustments to meet accessibility standards.
- Collaborate with event organisers to incorporate accessible features into on-site event planning, such as accessible seating, sign language interpreters, and other accommodations.
- Work closely with vendors and service providers to ensure their services and facilities comply with on-site accessibility requirements.
- Deliver on-site training for event staff on accessibility best practices and awareness.
- Maintain on-site accessibility policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
- Act as a point of contact for attendees with on-site accessibility needs, providing support and assistance throughout the event.
- Provide status updates, as required, to the Accessibility Coordinator, Operations Manager and Site Manager.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of on-site accessibility initiatives and provide recommendations for continuous improvement
- Be responsible for any onsite Accessibility assets and equipment.
- Brief, task and support Accessibility volunteers
Requirements:
- Proven experience in on-site event management, with a focus on accessibility.
- In-depth knowledge of on-site accessibility regulations, including the Equality Act 2010.
- Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of Attitude Is Everything’s Charter of Best Practice.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with people at all levels.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to address on-site accessibility challenges.
- Familiarity with assistive technologies and adaptive strategies.
- Proficient in Excel, Word and Google docs.
- Experience in managing volunteers.
- Understanding of GDPR and handling sensitive information.
ACCESSIBILITY ASSISTANT JOB DESCRIPTION
The Accessibility Team are responsible for making sure that all customers with access needs/disabilities have an enjoyable experience whilst attending ticketed events.
Responsibilities and skills required (but are not limited to):
- Managing and coordinating all access facilities and liaising with contractors on site
- Managing and marking out site provisions
- Coordinate signage across site
- Assist with managing the accessibility inbox and responding to queries and phone calls
- Dealing with all customer relations
- Be confident and able to use Excel and Google Docs and Sheets
- Sending out access information packs
- Ensuring the site’s access facilities are all equipped; toilet’s with locks, lighting, sanitation / viewing platforms are correctly marked out for wheelchair access with all correct signage and seating etc
- Making and distributing signage accordingly
- Able to grasp a thorough knowledge of the location of all access facilities across each site
- Setting up the Accessible Box Office
- Print documents to enable you to breif the parking stewards and security on the location of the accessibility Box Office and other Access facilities.
- Providing a friendly reliable point of contact for accessible attendees.
