In connection with the application for employment, an investigative consumer report may be requested that will include information about the employee’s character, work habits, performance, and experience, along with reasons for termination of past employment. CLOSELY CRAFTED consistent with the job described, may request information from public and private sources about employee’s workers’ compensation injuries, driving record, criminal history, education, credentials, credit, and references. Medical and workers’ compensation information will only be requested in compliance with the federal Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and/or any other applicable state laws. Background checking (other than work references) will only be conducted following the extension of a contingent offer of work. According to the Fair Credit Reporting Act, if employment is denied because of information obtained by the prospective employer from a consumer-reporting agency, the employee will be notified and given the name and address of the agency or the source that provided the information.
CLOSELY CRAFTED relies upon the accuracy of information contained in the employment application, as well as the accuracy of other data presented throughout the hiring process and employment. Any misrepresentations, falsifications, or material omissions in any of this information or data may result in the exclusion of the individual from further consideration for employment, or, if the person has been hired, termination of employment.
